A Mother’s Love: Honoring Her Final Journey
On the 23rd of September, 2024, approximately 02:01 am, the world became a little dimmer when we unexpectedly lost our beloved mother, Mrs. Grace Biu. She was more than just a parent—she was the glue that held our family together, a beacon of love and strength, and a soul who always put others before herself. In every role she played—mother, friend, neighbor—she gave her all with compassion, grace, and an open heart.
Growing up, I watched her work tirelessly, always ensuring we had what we needed even if it meant sacrificing her own dreams. She was the person who would give her last dollar to help someone in need, the one who stayed up all night when we were sick, and who made every birthday, holiday, and regular day special simply by being there. She loved deeply and without reservation. And she made sure we knew it.
Her passing was sudden, and we are still in shock, grappling with the reality that she’s no longer with us. As we try to navigate this immense loss, we are faced with the difficult task of planning her funeral—a task we were wholly unprepared for, both emotionally and financially. Like many who give their all to their family and community.
Now, we are reaching out to those whose lives were touched by her kindness, her generosity, and her love. We want to give our mother the send-off she deserves—a final tribute to the woman who gave so much to all of us.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to covering the funeral and burial costs, allowing us to lay her to rest with the dignity and honor she deserves. If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this message would also mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, love, and support during this incredibly painful time. We know that Mom would be so grateful to know how loved she was.
With gratitude,
Emmanuel Olorunlowo.
