A Composting Toilet for Deralinya Homestead Campground
Donation protected
Deralinya Homestead is a historic site to the east of Esperance. First established in the 1890s, this beautiful stone building was in danger of collapsing before stonemason Roger Robertson, with the help of some mates, restored the old building and the nearby shed. While the homestead is now a private residence, there is a free campground nearby, with a camp kitchen, among the beautiful wilderness of Deralinya.
This homestead, as well as the nearby Brooks Homestead/Balbinia and Booanya, are much loved by locals and visitors to the region. As the campground becomes more popular, there is an increasing need to install a composting toilet at the campsite. Donations to this cause will go to purchase a composting toilet, which will be installed by Roger and the crew.
The campground can be found on WikiCamps.
