Senior Couple Lost Everything in House Fire

Hello, I hope this finds you doing well! My name is Dana Sizemore and I’m starting this fundraiser to try and help my Great Aunt & Uncle Sizemore who lost everything when their home burnt down to the ground last November in Lost Creek, Kentucky. I can only imagine how horrible and overwhelming it must feel to be starting over at this stage in their lifetime. As if losing their home, vehicles, belongings, mementos, and all important documents wasn’t bad enough; four of my aunts dogs perished in the fire as well. Unfortunately, there was no insurance policy for coverage in the case of an emergency like this so they are both in their 70’s now and trying to start over at ground zero with absolutely nothing. My heart aches for the utterly deep losses they’re having to endure! Looking at the pictures gives me the chills all over. Once where a large 2-story home built into the side of the mountain stood is now just a large smoldering pile of ash. You’d never know that there used to be an old picnic table on the back porch where we’d sit and talk about life over some juicy, ripe watermelon (salted of course) while the dogs lounged around at our feet. Or that there was an old screen door on the back door that the dogs liked to let themselves in/out of when the flies outside got too bad or when the delicious smell of fried chicken or bacon was wafting out from the kitchen. And I still can’t believe the kitchen table where we sat and talked and talked until the wee hours of the morning is just gone. It’s been about four months since the fire and they just recently were able to finally get running water & a bathroom in the tiny shack they’re living in on the property since the fire. I wish I was independently wealthy and could give them all the help they need right now but I’m not so as hard as this is I’m asking you for help so I can help them please! Even the smallest amount of a $1 from a lot of people will surely make a positive difference for them & help take away at least a small shred of stress hopefully!
