Anti-Slip Treatment for Trollheim Bridge
Donation protected
Help the Friends of Mount Vernon Trail make safety improvements to Bridge 31 near Theodore Roosevelt Island. Many refer to Bridge 31 as "Trollheim" based on its history of being slippery, particularly after rainfall. We'll be implementing multiple recommendation from The Mount Vernon Trail Safety Study on Trollheim.
We need your help today to purchase a non-slip treatment to apply to the bridge. This treatment will either be an industrial strength paint non-skid paint coating or an industrial strength anti-skid strips. The choice of treatment options will be determined by an NPS compliance review.
Please make a donation today to help make Trollheim safe. The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail recently scrubbed the mold, moss and mildew off the bridge. Over the next two months we will also removing debris from between boards, fixing loose boards and replacing damaged boards.
Any funds raised in excess of the goal will be utilized for improvements on additional bridges.
The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Your donation may be tax deductible.
