As a father in Gaza, my greatest fear is not the sound of explosions — it is the cold reaching my children while they sleep.

My name is Mosa. I am a father of three young children living in Gaza, Palestine.

A nearby bombing severely damaged our home. Walls cracked. Parts of the structure became unsafe. Windows and protective barriers were destroyed. What was once our safe place is now fragile and exposed.

Today, our family of five lives in one small room that remains partially standing.

My children are between 6 and 13 years old — a little girl and two young boys.

At night, they huddle close together trying to stay warm. Cold air enters through broken walls and damaged sections. When it rains, I worry about water finding its way inside. I watch them sleep and I cannot rest.

They ask me: “Baba, will the wall fall?”

“Why is it so cold inside?”

“Will we be safe tonight?”

No parent should have to struggle to answer those questions.

I fear the cold more than anything now — because cold brings sickness. A simple cough can become something worse. Winter should not be a threat to children inside their own home.

We are not displaced — but we are not protected.

I am trying to raise $20,000 to:

Close exposed walls with wood and heavy protective sheets

Build basic wooden structures to block wind and rain

Reinforce damaged areas to prevent further danger

Create a minimally safe and warm space for my children

This is not about rebuilding a full house.

This is about protecting three children from cold, illness, and fear.
