A Dog’s Story / a Sad Saga…
Hi my name is Titan.
My story starts on a farm near Sheridan, IN, in Hamilton County. Few humans know much about the first 6 years of my life but me (it was a very hard life). I was found on a foreclosed abandoned farm and left behind. I never saw a vet in my first 6 years of my life, and the Humane Society For Hamilton County opened it's doors to help me. I had pneumonia when I first arrived and was put in isolation. Then, one day, a foster dad came to see me and took me home for 2 weeks to get over kennel cough I thought I was sleeping in the garage and had never been in a house in my life; my new foster dad even had to show me what stairs were to get to my new cushy upstairs bed right by his. I also had parasites, worms, and did I forget to mention I had Critical Heart Worms. My foster dad was going to return me to the Humane Society after 2 weeks when the foster coordinator asked if my temporary foster dad could get me through heart worms. I then knew he was hooked; I was very, very good, and he let me stay in my new forever home.

Once I was over my awful heart worms, I still had to be neutered at six years old; that’s HARD. When I was totally recovered we started going everywhere together; I loved riding in the back seat of his SUV. I got to meet some great friends at White's Ace Hardware in Carmel where I love getting "treats...". From time to time we also got to bring home other foster cats with upper respiratory infections (we can’t catch it) and dogs that needed a break from the kennel while waiting for their forever homes.

I was doing great till one day 8 months ago my nose was not letting me smell stuff like I like to smell. Dad took me to 4 different vets, and undergo X-rays, a CT scan and a biopsy (not very pleasant) and we found out I had a malignant nasal carcinoma cancer. I had to be on anaesthesia 5 days in a row, and while I was out they treated me with radiation and once again I could breathe and smell again. Well my cancer is back, and my VCA oncology vet (1 of 2 in Indiana) thinks one more 5-day dose of radiation will fix me for good.

So this is where you come in. We are starting a GoFundMe page and hope to raise a lot of money; some is for me, and all of the rest we can earn I want to give to my saviours, and friends at the Humane Society. I pledge to donate 100% of the funds raised over and above my treatment costs to help some of my other fur-ball friends at the Humane Society - even kitties; they seem to like me.
Please donate what you can, and we hope this is a big fundraiser for all of the animals that the Humane Society For Hamilton County cares for before they find their forever homes
Your friend always, Titan
