A ERIK A RECONSTRUIR LO DAÑADO EN EL INCENDIO DE SU CASITA

Hola, mi nombre es Mimosa y soy la hija de Erik, para quien estamos recaudando estos fondos. Mi padre llegó a Formentera siendo un jóven Hippie llegado de Holanda, aunque nacido en Indonesia, durante los años 70 y quedó prendado de la belleza de la isla, casi virgen y sin masificar en esos días, decidiendo quedarse a vivir y convertir Formentera en su hogar.

Erik es una persona bien conocida y muy querida en la isla, habiendo sido el encargado de gestionar la música y actuaciones en el Mercado de la Mola durante mucho tiempo, además de ofrecer actuaciones en directo a lo largo y ancho de la isla y tener fama de ser un extraordinario chef de cocina.

Erik vive desde que llegó a Formentera en una casita de payés muy antigua en Es Cap de Barbaria, rodeada de terreno semi salvaje, con gran variedad de especies vegetales autóctonas, en el cual Erik con los años, poco a poco pero laboriosamente, había construído un precioso jardín al que él, con su peculiar humor, le gustaba llamar "Paraiso Bali-Balear", mezclando en una palabra su tierra adoptiva en las Islas Baleares y su lugar de origen en Bali.

Pero la desgracia llegó de golpe y sin avisar cuando el pasado día 11 de Julio a las 10 de la mañana, con un calor sofocante ya a esa hora, se desató un incendio que lo destruyó todo, quedando reducido a cenizas. En las tareas de extinción, que culminaron a las 11.25 horas, participaron 3 vehículos y un pick up de intervención rápida de los bomberos.

Erik ya es mayor, cerca de 75 años y tiene pocos medios, no le resulta fácil salir adelante, ni puede buscarse la vida como antes y este golpe ha partido su vida en dos en unos instantes; ahora, este hombre que ha sido un referente del verdadero espíritu perdido de la isla de Formentera necesita de vuestra ayuda para poder poner manos a la obra y recuperar el terreno asolado por las llamas y volver a convertirlo en el pequeño paraiso que era antes del incendio.

Es por eso que pedimos vuestra colaboración en esta campaña con la cantidad que buenamente puedas aportar, pequeña o grande, que de seguro ayudará a conseguir la meta marcada. Al final de este párrafo os dejamos fotografías de antes y después del incendio para que podáis comprobar la seriedad de la situación.

Hello, my name is Mimosa and I am Erik's daughter, for whom we are raising these funds. But misfortune came suddenly and without warning when on July 11 at 10 in the morning, with suffocating heat already at that time, a fire broke out that destroyed everything, being reduced to ashes. In the extinguishing tasks, which ended at 11:25 a.m., 3 vehicles and a rapid intervention pick-up from firefighters participated.

Erik is already older, nearly 75 years old and has no wealth, it is not easy for him to get ahead, nor can he make a living like before and this blow has split his life in two in a few moments; now, this man who has been a reference for the true lost spirit of the island of Formentera needs your help to be able to get to work and recover the land ravaged by the flames and turn it back into the small paradise it was before the fire.
