A Family of Faith

As I sit in my car and write this, believing on the goodness of God for His will and His timing in all things; there is a family of five sitting in their car, a family who has left everything they know, come to a city of strangers, trying to escape to a better life, and living completely off faith that they will be able to survive another day.
Last week God placed them in my life, by His perfect design He put them in my path at the Kroger of poplar and highland. They had been living in their car and we’re so scared and so hungry. It was the oldest boy (maybe 15) who was brave enough to ask me for some food. When I saw all the little mouths (3 little brothers) and their momma all sitting in their car, trying to stay warm in the cold, hungry and anxious, my heart nearly exploded.
I did what I could that night, gave them what cash I had for a hotel and bought them groceries. It was so glorious of an experience, so pure and beautiful. I gave them my contact info and prayed that I would see them again one day. I wept hard in my car that night, not knowing what would happen to them but believing God for a miracle in their lives.
Today that miracle is happening, God once again is proving Himself steadfast in His love. The family has contacted me and they have been surviving off if the graces of strangers, living In and out of their car and with what little money their mom can make working temp jobs while she leaves the boys with the oldest son. It’s as real as it gets.
They are in a foreign place, the future is unknown and the pain of hunger is before them daily. This is too much for my spirit to handle. Im in my car yet again, and I can’t stop weeping and yet I know God will provide for them. I know they will not be forsaken. He will provide for the fatherless, it is a promise! And I’m claiming that promise for them in Jesus’s name.
Ive made this gofundme in the hopes of raising just enough to get this precious family off the streets. $250 will get them in an extended stay just long enough for them to get into a house. They should have a place by the 28th. The mother will have some money coming through by then, just enough to get them a months rent paid up. And $100 will be for groceries until she can get back on her feet. They are such an incredible family, all working as one to help momma as she fights for her family. She’s already located a house and gotten her children ready to be enrolled in new schools, been working 8 hours a day at temp jobs, all while living out of a car, with barely enough money for gas or food. I am truly in awe.
I am so so thankful for the help that you all have provided in the past, for every miracle that you have made a reality. With every impossible situation, you have blown me away at the mercy and compassion that God has given you for families you’ve never met.
I thank God for you everyday. I thank Him for this life, for all that He has allowed me to see and be a part of. This family has a long way to go, but they are no longer alone. I know that God has brought them into the arms of their new family, of all of you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and generosity.
I will update as often as often as I can. To God be all the glory. Amen.
