A farewell to Bubba: Cherished Memories and Peaceful Rest

Eddie "Bubba" Crowley’s soul and spirit have left us, but the laughter and joy he brought into our lives will remain forever. To know Bubba was to know a man who deeply desired happiness and connection, despite the demons he wrestled with. Throughout his life, he faced profound pain and sorrow, often choosing to numb his suffering in ways that hurt both himself and those who loved him.

In his later years, Bubba fought valiantly for his sobriety and began to reclaim the essence of who he truly was—compassionate, loving, and commendable. He took responsibility for the pain he caused, recognizing his struggles and striving to make amends. Beneath his battles, he was a good man with a deep capacity for love and an earnest desire to be happy and healthy.

Losing Bubba is a significant loss, but the memories of his best moments—his infectious laughter, his warmth, and his ability to light up a room—are the ones we will cherish forever. Had he channeled his grief and sadness into a greater purpose, there is no doubt he could have become a celebrated comedian, a devoted father and husband, and an honorable man, family member, and friend.

As we lay Bubba to rest, we seek to relieve the burden on his family to honor his memory and provide him the peace he sought in life. Any support you can offer is deeply appreciated. May Bubba finally find the peace he yearned for, reuniting with his momma and his other loved ones in the afterlife, dancing and laughing once more. We will cherish you always, Bubba. May your soul finally find the peace it has long sought.

Their only option to honor Eddie is resting his soul peacefully near their mother at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas. This morning, they discovered a spot available directly across from their mom, our dearly missed Rhonda Hopkins. Thanks to your support, they now see the possibility of less financial burdens on their family for his final resting place.
