A father journey to save his family.

Friends and relatives, My name is Kaplan, the father of Violet, Clover and Lana.

I am reaching out for support while I am in one of the toughest times I have faced as a father.

The mother of Lana is seeking to relocate with her from where we live on Kauai to San Francisco, California, with the goals of furthering her financial opportunities.

This move would cause great harm to our family as we would only see her on school breaks. Lana is currently with me 50% of the time and a huge part of our family.

Lana is very close with her older sisters and is a central part of all of our lives. As a father I have worked hard to be the best father I can be and offer my daughters opportunities to develop into themselves with love and support.

My daughter Lana is 5 years old. She a bright spirit who brings tons of laughter and love where ever she goes. Lana is deeply connected to the ocean and began swimming at 4 years old. Lana loves making art, playing with her friends and learning about how things are made.

Since Lana was born just before the covid era, she and I have had a ton of time to bond over long walks, bike rides and beach days. Lana has had a life here on Kauai that most kids would dream of.

She knows all her favorite beaches and has been on many hikes on my shoulders.

We have ridden hundreds of miles together on our beach cruiser and shared many laughs on our adventures.

Lana and I have a very special bond that words cannot describe. The thought of not being a constant in her life is terrible. The thought of her being raised without the constant love and support that she receives and needs from us breaks my soul. The thought of Lana being torn from her sisters is heartbreaking as their bond is the special kind that only sisters know.

Knowing first hand what it is like to not have a present father in your life and the wound that it inflicts is something that I never want in Lana’s life.

Right now I am tasked with justifying my right to be a father. I am tasked with proving that I am a father who can provide all the physical and emotional needs of my children, plan for their future and continue providing a solid foundation for them. I need your help.

At this time I am asking for financial support to pay for further legal representation. I have already paid 9000.00 in expenses for this matter and will need another 12,000.00 to get through this next phase of court dates.
