The loss of a father of 6 and beloved husband, Jamison Davis

1:45pm December 22, 2023: the minute the hospital pronounced Jamison Davis as brain dead. Less than 48 hours earlier he was leaving his home to drop off packages at the post office and said “goodbye, I love you” to his family not realizing it would be his last time.

A fiery four-car crash on the I-17 in Phoenix left one unresponsive, and Jamison was tragically that unlucky one. When the ambulance arrived, he was quickly rushed to the hospital where he was labeled as a John Doe.

His wife, Rachael, was not aware of the accident and after hours of him not responding she used the GPS tracker in their car and found it at a local tow yard. It was then she knew something was not right. With the help of Melanie, their best friend, they called around to local hospitals and were finally able to identify the “John Doe” as Jamison by his tattoos.

Brain surgery was immediately performed when he arrived to try and reduce the bleeding and swelling. Unfortunately the swelling did not come down and he remained in a coma with no brain function. He was given a zero percent chance of recovery. Jamison’s family had to make the hardest decision of their lives to sign a DNR and donate his organs.

Tomorrow morning, on Christmas Eve, Jamison’s closest friends and family will line up in the hospital hallway as they have a donor walk with him and say their final goodbyes. He will head into the OR to give the greatest gift of life—his organs will be donated to several other people in desperate need. He will then officially be pulled off the ventilator. Jamison was a hero for serving in the army and continued to be hero to his family, and now to the strangers he is saving with his life.

Rachael and six children, Bre (24), Juliet (18), Slade (13), Jami (9), Angelina (6) and Beau (4) need US to come together to support them during this unimaginable time. Jamison was the sole provider for his beautiful family and the last thing they need to worry about at a time like this is anything finance related.

All money donations will be allocated towards food/groceries, mortgage and insurance payments, gas, attorneys fees, possible hospital bills, and the daily essentials every family needs to keep going on with life.

If you have any questions or would like to donate gift cards for groceries or anything else, please reach out to us via the “contact” button on here and we'll get back to you ASAP. We also have a Meal Train sign-up link if you’d like us to send that to you.

If you’re unable to donate, we ask that you lift Jamison’s family and friends up in prayer; that they may find strength, courage, patience, love and understanding to get through this together, to be strong for the children who will move on without their dad earth-side, and that they feel loved, supported and never alone. May God protect them and guide them to move forward with a new guardian angel watching over them now.

We can’t thank everyone enough for the support and love that has been given to Rachael, all of Jamison’s beautiful children, family, and his friends.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Davis Family, The Gonzales Family and The Pokorney Family.
