A fight worth winning...

“Healer Heal Thyself” is a ancient dictum that reflects the meaning of the self-sacrificing person who tends to others, before themselves. My sister is such a person, loving and compassionate, a beacon of light to her family. Daniela has spent years as a dedicated, doting mother and wife, serving the community as a healing touch therapist, helping people that came to her with trauma, health, and emotional conditions. Life took a sudden turn and in November of 2019 Daniela was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
Her journey to recovery has been long and extremely debilitating. Though the medical procedures have been there to assist her process to slowing down the cancer, the medications have had devastating effects and she can now barely function. The lymphedema that developed in her arms has made things we take for granted, like bathing, cooking, cleaning; near impossible. After a second round with a more aggressive chemotherapy she developed blood clots in the lungs and left leg. The medical treatments have destroyed her health. Without any family or friends close by, her family is witnessing her rapid decline.
Her husband has to work around the clock to keep up with the medical bills and he is struggling as the only financial provider. This level of stress has negatively impacted his health and morale. Their daughter, now 15 years old, graduated high school with honours. These milestones are important. Daniela wants to be here for all of them! Although this disease has ravaged her body, her spirit still shines through, she hasn't given up hope.
This is her last chance to succeed in fighting this cancer. Miracles do exist. Everyday people are surviving cancer with the right care and help. We ask for your prayers for my sister Daniela to receive the right help at this time and for whatever donations you can give to help get Daniela into the immunotherapy program of Dr. Steven Rosenberg MD, Ph.D. He is a pioneer in the immunotherapy field with extensive expertise bringing hope, to patients affected by different cancers in advanced stages. The difficulty is that Dr. Steven Rosenberg is in Maryland working at the National Cancer Institute and Daniela is in Richfield Minnesota. In order to have this treatment she needs to travel and stay for several weeks in Maryland to receive these treatments.
Thank you for taking the time to read. And may you always be blessed.
