Hi everyone,

This is something I never thought I’d be writing, but here we are.

Since 2021, I’ve been battling breast cancer on and off. I have had 3 different types of breast cancer at different times. First stage 3 triple negative in the right breast. Then HER2 positive in the left breast. I have since had a double mastectomy. Recently, I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that has now spread to my lungs. I’m currently undergoing treatment to try and give myself as much time as possible, but the reality is my life expectancy is uncertain, it could be a year, or if I’m lucky, a few more.

I have four beautiful kids aged 22, 20, 16 and 9 and we are a very close family. We all still live together, and they are my entire world.

People have been incredibly kind, always asking how they can help. The truth is, there isn’t much anyone can do to change what’s happening… but there is one thing that would mean everything to us.

I would love to take my family on one last holiday together.

Not just a trip but a chance to step away from hospitals, appointments, and the constant weight of illness. A chance for my kids to have happy, carefree memories of time with their mum. To laugh, relax, and just be a family without cancer being at the centre of everything.

Our dream destination has always been America something I’ve wanted to do for over 20 years. We’d love to explore different parts of the country and experience it together as a family, including a stop in Las Vegas… because I think everyone should get to see Vegas at least once in their life. This trip has always been on my bucket list, and being able to share it with my kids would mean everything.

For a family of six, we estimate the cost to be around $40,000–$50,000. I understand that’s a lot of money, especially in the current climate, and I truly don’t expect anyone to put themselves under financial pressure.

If we are lucky enough to raise more than what’s needed for the trip, any additional funds would go towards helping pay down our mortgage. This would allow me to step away from work and spend whatever time I have left focusing on my family and making the most of every moment with them.
