A Final Goodbye: Help Shelly and Michael

Hello, my name is Shelly Pilkerton. As many of you know, my Bubby, Lester Pilkerton, passed away on December 1. Bubby had been fighting stage 3 nasopharyngeal cancer, and he beat it. We found out in June he had beat cancer. But the second week of July, Bubby got really, really sick and went to Baptist Hospital and never came home. He was then diagnosed with sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, and emphysema. On top of that, he was malnourished from the cancer. He was placed on a ventilator. After about 1 month, he got transferred to Kindred Hospital. He developed bed sores you could stick your arm in. It was awful. On top of all his issues, my sweet nephew Michael Pilkerton found out his mother had stage 4 small cell carcinoma, and it was all over her body. My nephew is now faced with losing his mother also. Michael has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Bubby did have some life insurance, but it didn’t cover his final expenses. We need $2328.92 to bury him on Friday. I am not working myself from having severe health problems. If anyone could find it in their hearts to help us lay my big brother to rest, it would be greatly appreciated.
