A Final Tribute for Kitty, a Selfless Mother

Hello, my name is Carlton and I am the son of Karen Wilson Allen, also known as "Kitty." My mom was a woman of God. She loved the Lord, and she always made it known that God was number one in her life. My mom grew up in North Trenton with 6 sisters and 1 brother. They were all well known. Kitty was a 3-sport athlete, competing in basketball, track, and volleyball, reaching the collegiate level at West Virginia State University. My mom was a great woman, the type of woman to give you her last. The type of woman to get a hoagie and cut a bigger piece for you and be fine with the smaller piece. She loved working in the customer service field, which allowed her to help and empathize with others. She was beautiful, strong, kind, loving, funny, smart, fashionable, empathetic, loyal, a great cook, and an avid reader. She not only was a great mom, she was a great sister, a great nana, a great aunt, a great cousin, a great daughter, a great wife to my father, and a great friend. She also was a mother figure to a lot of men and women who needed it. My mom also helped many people through their transition and felt like that was one of her many callings from God. Kitty sadly passed away on Friday, November 22nd, 2024, from advanced lung cancer after previously beating it in 2018.

In this tough time, due to unforeseen circumstances, I am asking for help to give my mom a proper burial. Anything would help and would be highly appreciated! Thank you and God bless!!
