Please help replace funds stolen from dance school

Hi, my name is Lisa, mother to my gorgeous girl Mae. We hope you can take time to read our plea for your help to fundraise for her dance school.

Unfortunately it was burgled last week, where by two people smashed the window in the front door, entered the building and stole a sum of cash. Of course that now needs replacing.

I have personally known and been friends with Sonya, owner of Sonya Marie Academy of Dance for many years as well as her being my daughter’s dance teacher. It’s devastating to see how this situation has affected her and knocked the wind from her sails. Despite this, the show must go on, and for the children and families Sonya has continued to smile and prove she wont be kept down. Ive seen her work incredibly hard to provide a warm, friendly, affordable dance school for all children wanting to dance and sing. The initial opening of the school was hindered due to Covid and lock down! Yet Sonya battled through to keep going and give many children and adults dancing and singing opportunities. Mae loves attending and her and I have made many friends by attending every week. She has progressed so much and continues to shine with the help and support Sonya gives her and the other students. My daughter was devastated by the burglary and upset to see the door boarded up because of what the ‘bad guys’ have done.

The money stolen was to be used to provide new equipment for the children. I would love it if you could help raise money to pay for the door to be fixed and to help ensure security to protect the dance school. The whole dance school would be extremely grateful if we could raise enough funds to replace what was stolen and help provide the much needed equipment that supports the children and adults in the school. All funds will go directly to Sonya Marie Academy of Dance.
