A fund for Darren Silvers after losing his house and content

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Jamie Meece I am starting this fund for Darren Silvers.

Everyday the alarm goes off, we respond to someone's worst day. Their most terrifying moments, on April 9th 2024, that happened to Darren. While Darren was running a errand for another firefighter before going to Fire Training - recruit class, he learned on a security camera that his home was on fire. at 17:24 a call for help was initiated to the 9-1-1 operations center of Structure on Fire, "Fully involved on Side A" , Three volunteer fire departments were notified to respond to the call for help. Their quick actions may have significantly saved the lives of his beloved pets, An Australian Shepherd dog, and a fluffy white cat which is named after a Disney movie. The dog was startled, but unharmed and was able to exit when the door was finally busted open, The cat suffered the most significant injuries, was in a state of lost consciousness, not breathing and no activity. EMT's on scene, including myself responded to the necessity of required CPR and medical interventions, provided on scene and later transported to a local veterinarian for follow up care and continued oxygen therapy.

The home where Darren was living is a total loss, he lost his retreat, his home, a rustic " house trailer in the woods".

Darren doesn't want the attention and I had to talk to him about putting this fund into action, He is very appreciative of the support he has received and assistance from the American Red Cross who helped to replace his medications, helping him notify utilities, etc.

Since that time he has been able to rely on friends and family for a place to lay his head, but would like to consider rebuilding or finding another place to call home. Thank you in advance for reading this and any contributions are greatly appreciated.

He would like to Thank the White Lily, Haynes Knob, and Mt. Victory Fire Department for their quick response which he feels helped to safe his pets.

A fund was also established in the name of Darren Silvers, at L&N Federal Credit Union, which has several branches in Kentucky.
