A fundraiser in honor of Redford.

This is a fundraiser to honor the silly happy active life of Redford “Scotch” Lewis. You can read about his death yesterday and see photos of his warm dorky life here. [Redford just passed away. <3 https://elejrnl.com?p=3376937]

I would like to plant a tree from Harlequin’s, a local regenerative nursery, over his grave. It rained all last night so it will be easier to bury him this morning. The tree will be a fruit tree to help provide sustenance for animals and bees and shade for this warming planet.

In addition I would like to put a lifesize pottery of Redford below it, curled up in the sun as he liked to be, by Buddhist and dear friend Caroline Douglas.

In addition any donations will be given to the local sanctuary Luvin’ Arms, to adopt or save an animal or establish a stall in his name for a pig or cow, and to help extend our love for our pets to all animals.

I hope in honor of Redford you will consider going vegan. Of course I don’t know if this will happen or if anyone will want to give and there is zero pressure or expectation, really. Redford’s legacy was not just a beloved pet, but an example that we need to be with our pets, take them with us, train them (and mostly ourselves) to be grounded and firm and loving and cuddly and exercise them lots, not keep them inside or even in a yard whenever we can help it. May it be of benefit!
