A Fundraiser to Support Jono's Surgery & Rehabilitation

Affectionally known as JD7, Jon Davies, has shown over the years that he can consistently produce 'box office' performances on a regular basis. Our entertaining goal scorer, continues to light up the Southern League and is, undoubtably, one of the greatest players to wear the Frome Town shirt. He is now in his 7th season with the Robins, having also represented Bath City, Totton, Poole, Paulton Rover and Melksham.

Sadly Jon picked an ACL injury in the early minutes of our away trip to Havant & Waterlooville at the start of October and now faces surgery and along period of rehabilitation. This comes on the back of a similar injury to his other knee, which he had worked so hard to recover from.

The Club will support Jon in any way we can and with a young family and business to run we are looking to raise funds to assist him financially through this difficult period. There is no doubting Jon's commitment to return to action and we hope it's not too long before he again graces the turf at Badger's Hill.

Update March 2025

Sadly Jon is still awaiting a date from the NHS for his required operation despite previous promises of "early next year" and is now looking at mid May at the earliest with a large number of people in the queue ahead of him. With recovery and rehab this could cause him to miss much of next season and possibly force him into retirement.

He feels fit, and wants to continue so the only option is to pay for surgery at a cost of £7,437. Jon is able to cover some of this expense but as a Club we want to provide at least 50% and hope to get him back on the pitch for pre-season - there is no doubt we have missed his contribution this year.

Please help if you are able, the quicker we can raise the money the sooner we get JD7 back in action.
