Dear respected friends, family and community members,
Shahed Anwar, 42 years, is a loving dad, devoted husband & son and a caring friend who is facing some difficult times and fighting for his life. Shahed has always been a rock for his family, tirelessly working to provide for them and to create a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. He has two young kids, a girl (7 yrs) and a boy (3 yrs). He has an illustrious career where he worked in many prestigious organisations including Grameen Phone, NBN Australia, Macquarie Bank, Accenture etc. He has studied at Chittagong School & College, Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (BSc) and North South University (MSc).
In an unfortunate event on December 12,2022, Shahed’s life has changed forever. Leading into that day, he was feeling a bit unwell. What started as a simple flu-like illness soon turned into a life-threatening Strep-A (Necrotising Fascitis) infection that caused sepsis and multiple organ failure including kidney, lung, heart & brain. Shahed has been in & out of the ICU in four different hospitals in Sydney as he battles this vicious disease with all his might.
Despite the incredible challenges Shahed has faced, he is showing a true fighting spirit. By the grace of Almighty Allah, he has shown immense strength and courage in the face of adversity, enduring multiple surgeries and treatments that have left him without both his legs from below the knee and both his hands from the wrists.
We would also like to highlight the immense strength and resilience of Tamanna Afroz Anwar, Shahed's wife. As a homemaker, Tamanna has been doing her best to manage their beautiful family while her husband fights for his life in the hospital. She has been caring for their young children and trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for them, all while dealing with the immense stress and uncertainty of her husband's condition.
We cannot even begin to imagine the challenges that Tamanna and her family have been facing during this incredibly difficult time as the sole earning member of the family is in dire straits. But we know that with the support of our community, we can help alleviate some of the burdens and make their journey a little bit easier.
Please consider donating to help this loving family as they navigate this difficult path ahead. Your support can make all the difference in the world to them.
The beneficiary of the fund will be Shahed's wife Tammana Afroz. The fund will be used for Shahed's ongoing treatment, rehabilitation and well-being of his family.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
