A Future Beyond Tumors: Support Rozalinda’s Fight Against NF
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Rosalinda, a 22-year-old from Albania, and I’m here, together with my cousin Rudina, to raise funds to support my battle with a rare genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (NF2). In the summer of 2023, after experiencing hearing issues, I went for what I thought would be a routine ear checkup, only to receive life-changing news. My MRI revealed two brain tumors known as acoustic neuromas, marking the start of my NF journey. A second MRI soon revealed two more tumors on my spinal cord. And just six months later, another MRI showed a total of ten new tumors throughout my body. The shock and fear were overwhelming.
Why this cause is important to me: No one in my family has NF2-SWN, so facing this diagnosis alone has been incredibly challenging. Each day brings new difficulties, but I’m determined to keep fighting for my health, my future, and my loved ones. Living with multiple tumors is frightening and painful, but it also gives me hope to find treatment and support that can ease this journey.
How the funds will be used: The funds raised will cover essential expenses associated with my complex treatment plan, including:
Hospital and ICU Stay: Fees for stays in both the hospital and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Surgical and Operating Room Materials: Use of specialized equipment such as microscopes and necessary materials for the operating room.
Medication: Medications administered during both hospital and ICU stays.
Professional Fees: Fees for the medical team, including anesthesiologist, surgeons, and specialized neurophysiologists.
Pathology Analysis: Necessary pathology assessments.
Radiosurgery Process: Additional costs cover the full radiosurgery process:
Initial Consultation and Imaging: Medical consultations, a full physical examination, MRI, CT, and other diagnostic imaging.
Treatment Planning: Precision planning to target the tumors while preserving healthy organs.
Radiosurgery Treatment: Monitored sessions under strict medical and physical control to ensure accuracy.
Follow-Up Consultations: Regular check-ups for up to twelve months post-treatment.
How the beneficiary will receive the funds: Rozalinda and I will personally manage the funds to ensure that payments go directly to the hospital, Hospital Viamed Santa Elena, S.L.U., located at Calle de la Granja, 8, 28003 Madrid (CIF B-06951057). This approach will help us ensure that all contributions are applied directly to her medical treatments and necessary procedures.
Your support will be a lifeline, helping me access these crucial treatments and offering hope in the face of NF2. Thank you for joining us on this journey. I, Rudina, am honored to help Rozalinda manage this campaign and support her through this challenging time.
