Message from Yousri Alghoul:
Dear compassionate hearts,
My name is Yousri Alghoul (يسري الغول), and I am a well-known author from Gaza Strip. Through my words, I have told the stories of our land, our resilience, and our heartbreak. But today, I write as a father—one who refuses to let his children’s brilliance be extinguished by the relentless hardships of our reality.
I have four extraordinary children—Anas, Majd, Osama, and Rauf—whose intelligence and determination shine like beacons of hope amid the destruction that surrounds us. They are the reason I fight, the reason I write, and the reason I turn to you now with a plea to help them escape the darkness and reach for a brighter future.
Meet My Children
Anas (18): My eldest son is a natural leader with a sharp mind for engineering. He dreams of rebuilding the homes and schools destroyed around him, using his intellect to restore hope and dignity to our people.
Majd (16): My brilliant daughter aspires to become a doctor, driven by a deep compassion for those suffering without adequate healthcare. Her academic achievements and resolve are nothing short of extraordinary.
Osama (14): My creative son is fascinated by technology and dreams of becoming a computer scientist. His innovative mind yearns for the chance to design solutions that can change the world.
Rauf (12): My youngest is a gifted artist who sees beauty amid the rubble. His drawings tell the story of Gaza in ways words cannot, and he dreams of sharing our story with the world through his art.
Each of my children possesses remarkable talents and unshakable dreams. But here in Gaza, those dreams are at constant risk of being crushed under the weight of war, poverty, and displacement.
Our Harsh Reality
As refugees in Gaza, our family struggles daily to survive. Our home is in a crowded camp where food, water, and electricity are scarce. My children’s school has been bombed, and their education is constantly interrupted by violence.
Despite these hardships, they remain determined to learn and excel. But I know their potential cannot be realized here. They need a safe environment, quality education, and the opportunity to grow into the incredible individuals I know they can be.
Why I Need Your Help
I have spent my life using my voice to advocate for justice, but today I need your voice and support. I am seeking to raise funds to:
1. Send my children to study abroad: They deserve a chance to pursue their education in safety and become the leaders they are destined to be.
2. Provide basic necessities: Food, books, clothing, and the tools they need to succeed.
3. Give them a future filled with hope: An escape from the endless cycle of war and suffering.
Why Your Support Matters
Your donation is more than just financial assistance. It is a lifeline, a chance to give four brilliant young minds the opportunity to shine in a world that has tried to dim their light. With your help, Anas can rebuild. Majd can heal. Osama can innovate. Rauf can inspire.
As a writer, I have always believed in the power of stories to change hearts and minds. Today, I hope our story inspires you to take action.
How You Can Help
Please contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small. Share our story with your friends, family, and networks. Together, we can ensure that my children have a chance to escape the hardships of Gaza and build a life that honors their potential.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your belief that even in the darkest of times, hope can prevail.
Sincerely,
Yousri Alghoul
