Paxton Needs A Wheelchair Accessible Van!

Hello Friends and North Woods Law fans! We’ve had inquiries from fans wanting to do something to help support Conservation Officer Chris Egan in his recovery, so we looked into it, and it turns out you can! Conservation Officer Egan has been involved with the NHSA Ride-In for Easter Seals Camp Sno-Mo for more than 20 years. It was there he met the Williams Family and their 5 year old daughter Paxton.
Paxton Williams was born with Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy. Several months after her birth her parents (Andrea and Jesse) were concerned about her development and began taking her to countless doctor appointments to determine the cause. Unfortunately, after many tests, surgeries and too many appointments to recount, doctors have been unable to give an immediate diagnosis, all the while leaving her in a wheelchair. When she was 14, Paxton had a complete spinal fusion due to kyphosis, which is the outward curvature of the spine. It was a tough and agonizing recovery, but in true Paxton fashion, she came through it like a champ! And 3 inches taller to boot!
Today Paxton is a beautiful and happy 18-year-old young woman living in New Boston, New Hampshire, who is looking forward to graduating from high school in June, and beginning her college education this Fall. She is an honor roll student who loves Art and Culinary, as well as History and English.
Through Teagan’s Ride of Plymouth, NH the Williams Family has received donations, and others have donated an electric lift so the family could have a van that accommodates Paxton and her wheelchair. They’ve had that van for a number of years now and it is old, tired, and unreliable with nearly 200,000 miles on it. Paxton deserves better!
We are looking to help out Paxton and her family. Paxton needs a van that can accommodate her physical needs as well as provide the confidence and independence any 18-year-old wants and needs. While there is much support and love for Paxton, the family is looking for your help to secure this special vehicle. Paxton is a strong, vibrant young woman who sees every day as a great new challenge and she deserves to have a ride fit for a queen.
