Jana's Story, A Friend In Need

We are asking family, friends, and other members of the community to please help us by being a financial blessing to Jana Ward-Garcia.

In 2013, Jana was diagnosed with breast cancer and found herself fighting the battle of her life almost completely alone until 2018 when she received the good news that she was cancer free. Unfortunately, in 2019 Jana began experiencing severe back pain. The pain intensified over the next four years, causing her to go in for a routine checkup on May 2, 2023, where she was told that she needed emergency spinal surgery because the cancer had returned. This time, the cancer returned in the form of Multiple Myeloma, a terminal form of cancer. As a result of the Multiple Myeloma, Jana suffered from a fractured spine and was near paralysis.

Jana's healthcare providers believe aggressive treatment can help to extend her life by several years. Unfortunately, Jana has not yet been able to start her treatments due to delays with insurance approvals. In an attempt to cover her medical expenses and everyday needs, Jana has made an attempt to return to work, but due to extreme fatigue and pain, she struggles to work past 2-3 hours per day.

Through it all, Jana has remained positive and has plans to write a book and share her testimony about how she overcame cancer.
