For over two months now, Asal has bravely faced the grueling challenges of cancer treatment. Her parents, Ali Reza and his wife, find themselves oscillating between hospital corridors and the comfort of their home, their lives forever altered by this unexpected twist of fate.

Ali Reza, having lost a hand to a landmine from the Soviet war during his chilhood in Afghanistan. During Operation Enduring Freedom he worked tirelessly as a translator for the American military forces in Afghanistan. However, the transition to the United States, pursued through a Special Immigration Visa (SIV) and his disability left them financially vulnerable.

Despite Ali Reza's dedication, the family now grapples with economic instability. The hospital's prognosis predicts a year-long journey for Asal's treatment, during which her parents face the overwhelming challenge of covering daily expenses. Their struggle is real, and their plea is genuine.
