A heartfelt request for Steven Warner.....

Greetings, folks around Charlottesville, central Virginia, and around the world - my name is Dan Wassilchalk, and I’m bringing an important message to you regarding Steve Warner, a dear friend, a faithful hoops buddy, and fellow UVA Cavalier. Steve has created many circles of friends, teammates, and colleagues throughout his lifetime. All of us who Steve’s caring and compassion have blessed can relate fondly and emotionally to this request. Steve is suffering from a severe heart condition that his wife Bri mentions below, and he needs our support…however we can assist. I’m a firm believer in Divine Intervention, and I also hope with all my heart and faith that Steve beats this medical challenge with the help of those who care for and love him. “Everyone who has the privilege to have Steven Warner in their lives will tell you what an amazing man he is. Whether in the classroom, at home, or on the basketball court, he always gives his all with contagious enthusiasm, infinite wisdom, endless knowledge and genuine care. Today, that wonderful man who is my husband and the father of our son Alex is facing the biggest challenge of his life, as he is afflicted with a very serious heart condition. He is currently in the hospital, receiving the best care available. His condition is so serious that he will require a heart transplant; we are eagerly awaiting a suitable organ to become available for him. We are doing our very best to provide him with the support he needs to heal and recover completely from this illness, which has come on suddenly and aggressively. Steve's big, big heart needs mending so he can continue being Steve....... the Steve we all want and need around, the Steve we all love so very much. Our family wants to thank all our family and friends for supporting us during these difficult times.
