A Helping Hand for Haiti

Tax deductible

Update 10/16:

First of all, thank you to everyone for your support and donations. We can proudly say that we have helped about 200 people in the areas of Cap Haitian and Au Cayes so far. After checking with our sources in Haiti we found the need for food to be on the top of the list, and that’s where our focus went. We were able to put together bags of food that the families could bring home and distribute over time.

(Please see pictures at the bottom of post)

We are currently working on barrels of clothing, non-perishable foods, over the counter medicine and other supplies to send from the United States to Haiti. In the next two weeks we will be able to send out two barrels with the help from Trinity Christian Fellowship in Goulds, Florida. We want to extend our thank you’s for their hard work so far, your help is truly appreciated.

If you are reading this and think that your organization, church or community can help out in any way- please reach out to us. Visit www.helpushelpus.org for contact information.

Even though we were able to help out a good amount of people, the demand for help is still high. We will continue on the path of meeting these demands- and therefore rely on your support. All donations and support are really appreciated.

Original post:

We are a family coming together to help our country. Haiti has been through so much turmoil for so long. The most recent earthquake has further crippled a country reeling from a presidential assassination last month and still recovering from a disastrous earthquake more than 11 years ago. We are asking for your help because the Haitian people are in dire need of assistance.

We've partnered with Reveil Matinal Orphanage Foundation (RMOF), a nonprofit 501C3 organization and we are working tirelessly to help our fellow Haitians in need. There are too many displaced families across Haiti who have been uprooted from their homes mostly due to these unfortunate events. These families are compromised of mostly women, children and the elderly who are truly among the most vulnerable in Haiti. This comes amid a worsening COVID crisis and a severe drought affecting large parts of the country.

Haiti has been battered by extreme poverty social and political unrest for decades. Resources within the country are stretched to the breaking point, these individuals have nowhere else to turn. Making a donation is a way of reaching out a helping hand. By providing even a small contribution, you can be part of an effort to provide medical assistance, supply food, clothes, shelter, and help families rebuild their lives and their communities.

Every donation, no matter the size, counts and is greatly needed. Our goal is to raise enough funds and/or resources to meet their acute needs. Non-monetary donations are very much welcomed, inquire for more information.

Thank you spreading the word.
