A helping hand for Kailey (aka Smaxel Rose).

Hello friends!

First off, we would like to keep this a secret from her until the end, so please do not mention this to her!

Our dear friend, roommate, teammate, partner, athlete, GVRDA Skater Relations board member, skate buddy, gym buddy, coworker, cat mom, and all around amazing, loving and BADASS of a human being - is going through a really hard time this year.

Due to her health related concerns, Kailey has been unable to work and was on EI for most of the year, then wrongfully terminated for not being "healthy enough" to return to work.

Not only is dealing with Chronic illness, pain and immobility difficult enough on a person, but the financial burden of rent, groceries and medical bills are too much to bear on someone who, although highly qualified, is unable to work.

The mental and physical burden of trying to get any financial assistance in her position and being consistently turned down, is exhausting and disheartening. The world is not kind to those who are unable to confirm to societal workforce norms that have been created.

Kailey, aka Smaxel Rose, doesn't let her chronic illness and pain hold her back in life. She strives to live life to the fullest, despite any restrictions her body has put on her, and always there for her friends and family. This year has been exponentially hard and unfair to her and her loved ones, and taken so much from her.

If you are lucky enough to know Kailey, it's easy to understand why we want to help!

We know times are tough on us all in this economy, but If you can afford to donate a small amount, it will help ease the financial hardships she is going through.

No amount is too small! Every little bit helps.

All proceeds will go directly to Kailey once this fundraiser has ended for her to use for paying back bills, rent, affording groceries, and living life again!

We will be closing the fundraiser at the end of the month, July 31st, so we can get the funds to her quickly!
