A helping hand for Tayla and Brendan

We are fundraising in order to help our cousins’ family be able to stay with them whilst they are in hospital.

Over the weekend our cousin Tayla and her fiancé Brendan were involved in a head on car accident in Western Australia and both suffered serious injuries. Tayla has a fractured spine, fractured ankle, two broken wrists, a punctured lung, broken ribs, bruising to the liver and had to have surgery to repair internal bleeding. Brendan’s legs were both shattered and he’s had surgery to put in pins and rods and will require months of rehab.

Tayla was so excited for this trip as she was finally going to see Coldplay and now their life has been turned upside, as well as their families. The injuries Tayla and Brendan sustained are going to require months in hospital as well as ongoing rehabilitation. Tayla and Brendan’s Dad’s flew straight over but as you can imagine they are both struggling financially to be able to afford to stay in Perth whilst also running their lives at home in Sydney. We are hoping to be able to raise enough money to take the stress off the parents so they can concentrate on being with their kids on their road to recovery. The money raised will cover accommodation and meals for as long as they need to be there, until Tayla and Brendan are well enough to be flown home by air ambulance.
