A HELPING HAND IS NEEDED HERE

In a short time of fewer than two months, after a vacation in Kenya, I started to have stomach after stomach pains. Various medical tests at Lowell General Hospital revealed Gastric Cancer (Stomach cancer). Within two months, after doing test after test, scans, and visiting hospital after hospital, I was finally diagnosed with stage four cancer. This was unexpected and was the biggest shock of my life.

I have now started treatment, having done a stint of the first radiation and now doing chemotherapy. The tentative schedule for chemo is expected to last till May 2023. This will be followed by surgery, depending on the doctor's recommendation.

I have been out of work since the beginning of October due to hospital after hospital, appointment after appointment. The side effects of Chemo are so extreme that one cannot continue working. I anticipate rising extreme medical bills and copayments in the next few months.
