A helping hand to Stu

Hi, It's Ben Stu's good friend here.

If you are not yet aware, sadly Stu was misdiagnosed with Crohn's in mid May, further testing revealed it was in fact bowel cancer. Stuart had surgery a few days later at Footscray Hospital where a large tumour was removed for his large intestine and he is currently recovering from this surgery. Once he has recovered from surgery he will begin Chemotherapy treatment, it is expected that his treatment will run for about 6 months.

Stu has a tough journey ahead, but he is extremely positive and he will get through this. He has amazing support from his family and friends, I know he appreciates all the well wishes he has received.

Stuart is looking at period off work of about 7 month's and to rub salt into the wound he has been delayed getting any form of assistance due to his passport no longer being a valid form of ID due to the Optus data breach. He working to get this resolved ASAP but he is doing it tough at the moment. Everyone is feeling the pinch from the cost of living but if you could spare a small amount to help him pay the rent and keep the lights on I know he will be forever thankful.
