Dear GoFundme Community,

I am starting a fundraiser in support of my cousins, who tragically lost their father during a leisurely day off at one of their favorite walking spots in somerset county. My uncle, Rolando, was a true hero who spent his life in service of his family up to the very moment where he rescued his children after they fell into water.

My uncle was a hardworking father who loved his family. After years of learning the construction trade, he started his own business and achieved his family's dream of owning a home just last year. To me & the rest of my family, he thought only of his children and did his best to provide them with a fulfilling and educational lifestyle. That morning, he had taken off work to spend a day with his kids after hearing they were feeling low in spirits. He took his kids to go see their mom at work, enjoyed a good breakfast together, did karaoke in the car, before heading their way to enjoy a walk in good weather.

At this moment, we are asking for support from the community to assist in funeral arrangements. He leaves behind six children, four of whom are still in middle school or younger. We hope to use any collections left over to start a fund for their educational needs and any health services that might arise from this unfortunate experience.

Estoy iniciando una recaudación de fondos en apoyo de mis primos, quienes perdieron trágicamente a su padre durante un día de descanso en uno de sus lugares favoritos para caminar en el condado de Somerset. Mi tío, Rolando, fue un verdadero héroe que dedicó su vida al servicio de su familia hasta el último momento, cuando rescató a sus hijos después de que cayeran al agua.

Mi tío fue un padre trabajador que amaba a su familia. Después de años de aprender el oficio de la construcción, comenzó su propio negocio y logró el sueño de su familia de tener una casa el año pasado. Para mí y el resto de mi familia, él solo pensaba en sus hijos y hacía lo mejor para brindarles una vida plena y educativa. Esa mañana, se había tomado el día libre para pasar tiempo con sus hijos después de enterarse de que estaban un poco desanimados. Los llevó a ver a su mamá en el trabajo, disfrutaron juntos de un buen desayuno, cantaron karaoke en el auto y luego se dirigieron a disfrutar de un paseo en un buen clima.

En este momento, estamos pidiendo apoyo de la comunidad para ayudar con los arreglos funerarios. Deja a seis hijos, cuatro de los cuales aún están en la escuela secundaria o son más pequeños. Esperamos utilizar cualquier sobrante de las donaciones para comenzar un fondo para sus necesidades educativas y cualquier servicio de salud que pueda surgir a raíz de esta desafortunada experiencia.
