A Home Fire Destroying A Family's Life: Donate To Help
Donation protected
On December 7th, 3rd alarm fire broke out in my sister's home. Her name is Joenith Ruiz. She has 4 children (ages 2 months old, 1 year old, 6 years old, and 8 years old) along with her husband Noel Ruiz. Any one that knows them knows they are a very hard working and caring family.
My sister was in the home at the time, alone with her 4 children while her husband was at work. A kitchen fire broke out without her realizing it immediately. Thankfully, my nephew Noel (6) noticed and quickly told her. They found out just in time to be able to get out quickly and safely. She went on to call 911 while simultaneously getting help and notifying neighbors.
Tragically, the fire quickly spread in a matter of seconds destroying mostly everything they owned—clothes, baby items, appliances, personal items, and more. They won't be able to spend Christmas in their own home along with the beautiful Christmas tree they put together which also burned down from was the fire fighters said.
This has been an incredibly traumatic experience for the entire family. Their 2 month old is going to be getting treated to make sure her lungs are okay from inhaling the smoke the most.
In the mist of trying to get the kids out in the dark smoke, she couldn't get to their cat Fifi. When the fire department arrived, my sister desperately told fire fighters to please find her cat inside.
When they finally found her, she appeared to not be breathing. She then was given oxygen which helped. Fifi is struggling to breathe and needs urgent veterinary care which most of us know it can be expensive. They cannot afford it at the moment. They are now facing the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
Any support you can provide would mean the world to them during this difficult time.
Also, any monetary donation will be used to find another home, get essentials for the children and to find them a home. Thank you for helping this wonderful family get back on their feet. Updates will be posted along with pictures that will slowly come in. Thank You to the fire department, Noel's wonderful family that quickly showed up to give all the support they could, and to everyone who has reached out.
