A home for Joe and Michelle Cabrera

On November 8, 2018 the Camp fire raged through Paradise, California, wiping out an estimated 6,700 structures, becoming the most destructive fire in California's history. 

Above is a picture of where my parent's home used to be. Like so many people in Paradise, they have lost everything. And like many others, they have no where to go. All their local family members and best friends lost everything too--making it impossible for them to reach out to those who they would normally turn to in times of need. So we are reaching out to you, hoping that you might donate to help them get back on their feet.

Here is what is needed:
>Joe & Michelle need supplies to help them get through daily life (clothes, toiletries, food).

>Joe & Michelle need a new place to live. This occupies the bulk of their worry at the moment. When the ashes are cleared, they hope to have the funds to purchase an RV or Mobile home to place on the property. Relocating is not an option, as Michelle works in Chico and the two need to maintain health insurance due to medical conditions. The bulk of the monetary goal of this campaign is to help fund a new place to live.

>Joe & Michelle need to know that they have your support.  With so many people displaced, I am sure it is hard not to feel like a statistic.

>Donate to this campaign. All donations will go directly to Joe & Michelle to aid in their recovery, replace essentials, and provide shelter.

>Send a care package. Remember that in the short term, Joe & Michelle are staying with friends out of town, and as such do not have much room to store items. However, donations of goods are welcome and can be mailed to:

>Write a message of support or send a Christmas card. Its not always possible to donate, but you can still help out by letting Joe & Michelle know how much you care about them by commenting on this page or adding them to your Christmas card list. Michelle's favorite holiday is Christmas, and she took great joy in decorating her yard to the nines every year with a different theme. Even if you are a stranger, you can send a card to replace the years of holiday decorations that were burned up in the fire.
