Let me introduce Matthew Glenn Hawkes & Zoe Paris Peters — aka Piggy Girl … or Precious Pig.

I am 50 and the poster child of what not to do with your life. And, other than my children — being able to share time and care for my sweet pig, the greatest joy of my adult life.

We lost job & apt this summer past. Struggled to relocate. Left everything behind for all the right reasons. Moved to St. George. Warmer less dangerous when homeless. No friend or family here.


I am clean and sober today. I moved here to save our lives, and maybe, my soul.

Rents are ridiculously high esp w/ pets. I am less afraid of the cold, than the searing bulldog killing heat that follows.

So many people willing to help us. I am overwhelmed. But then I thought, swallow your pride. Don’t be afraid to ask when in real, desperate need.


I spoke with a rep at the local transitional housing center what would be a good target goal for a place, deposit, rent, utilities. This is it. 3500.

I am employed, but that’s a mountain of money I don’t have.

I am asking for your help with some promises. Pig is old. She needs a home.

These are sacred funds & will be used accordingly.
I will provide an accurate accounting
