A home for Norinda's family
Donation protected
Please help me raise funds to rebuild the home of Norinda Lenis, a 29 years old young woman, head of household, in Bogota, Colombia, mother of 4 children and responsible for her widow father, her disable older sister and sometimes her addicted Brother. You can donate anonymous by writing anonymous instead of your name.
The house was destroyed by the youngest brother. Two years ago, Norinda's mother died and her addicted younger brother went out of control, and began to sell parts of the house in order to support his drug use.
After few months, Norinda's father and disable sister had to move to Norinda's very small rented apartment. Norinda's has been given a chance to work from home when I gave her two sewing machines and paid for sewing lessons; but living conditions are impossible at the small rented place, while the house is now abandoned and empty. The brother is no longer in the house.
They have only asked for funds to purchase the material to rebuild the house. The funds will be used to purchase, 900 bricks, construction material, cement, tiles, plumbing, roof material, doors, locks, toilet, etc.
Her father, another brother and Norinda's husband work in construction and have the skills to rebuild the house, and they believe it would take about a month.
Additionally, I have include and additional funds for the family to survive while they are investing their time in the reconstruction of the house, as well as 5 pieces of furniture they will need badly such as bunker-beds.
I would really appreciate your help. In the past 20 years I have worked every year to make better the life of a woman in Bogota. Many live in poverty and have no chance to have a life with dignity or offer their children a better life. I am maxed out in my giving and I need the support of the community to make it possible for Norinda to have her mother's home back, stability for her children, her father and her disable sister as well as the opportunity to never worry about being kicked out because she does not make enough money for rent and to feed them all. Her husband is not the father of her 3 first children and does not feel responsibility to help more.
I will be grateful for ever for your support to this young women. She is responsible and ready for a break in life. I will report progress as the construction happens and once they move in.
