A Home for the Fayad Family
Donation protected
The Fayad family lost their home when it was destroyed in the 2014 Gaza War.
With scarce employment in Gaza Mahmoud Fayad has been trying to build an apartment for his young family of 4 but is struggling due to the overwhealming cost of the build. Pictured here at the site with sons Jawwad and Mohammed, Mahmoud has unfortunately run out of options to render it to a livable stage for them.
Even though employment is so difficult to obtain, (Gaza has an unemployment rate of 45.1%), Mahmoud spends time supporting orphans through charity work with a local non profit organization. An orphan himself, Mahmoud focussed his efforts on supporting the most vulnerable children in society and bringing them hope and joy.
This is how I first met Mahmoud 7 years ago, through a fundraising campaign he organised for orphans in Gaza.

I would love to be able to help my friend Mahmoud who reached out to me because he is feeling helpless.
I truly hope that by sharing this fundraiser, we can all chip in a little and bring the family together in their new home before Winter.
