A home in Australia: rebuilding lives from Gaza

My family and loved ones are lucky to still be alive despite the ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Australia announced the availability of emergency visas for those in Gaza and my family were granted Visas. We are still waiting for their names to appear on the Rafah Border List which will allow them to exit Gaza. They will come here with only the clothes on their backs and are hoping to seek refuge with us. They have seen and been through the most dangerous and inhumane situations and we want to give them the best chance to rebuild themselves and their lives mentally and physically. As you can imagine bringing my family comes with a huge financial burden, from flights and accommodation to housing and general needs. Any amount at all will be accepted with utmost gratitude and will help them on their journey.

Urgent Appeal for Support:

My close family of 21 individuals have all endured hardships that no one should ever experience in their lifetime. From leaving their family home in North Gaza to the South, then hearing that it has been bombed (photo above) and we have lost family members. After this Israeli military forces entered South Gaza and they had to evacuate again to Rafah (close to the border) where they are now residing. Unfortunately, they are still under heavy artillery shelling and bombing and are not safe. They are a whole family living in a small undercover area with other people they do not know. They are currently eating one meal a day and have no access to medications or other needs. They are sleeping on the floor in a crowded room. These are living conditions no family should have to endure, including many kids and elders.
