A Hydroponic Garden for The Center in Asbury Park
Donation protected
My name is Todd Winn and I am a sophomore at Christian Brothers Academy. Since 2018, I have been donating produce from my garden and local gardens in the area to The Center in Asbury Park- a homeless shelter that also provides meals to those in need in the local community. The goal in doing this is to provide fresh, healthy meals to those who need nutrition. I am now taking my efforts a step further. I will be fundraising this year to purchase a hydroponic system from the company "Lettuce Grow" for The Center. With this system, the shelter will be able to grow its own fresh produce year-round, providing even more nutritious meals to those who rely on the shelter for support. When the system is purchased, I will install it at The Center.
I am passionate about this project and believe that it will have a profound impact on the lives of those who utilize The Center's services. I am asking for your help in reaching this fundraising goal. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to making this project a reality. In the future, I hope to install hydroponic systems in other shelters as well. All funds with go to the purchase of the system and seeds/plants to begin their garden. Any additional funds will be put toward a hydroponic system at an additional shelter.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of this effort to make a positive impact in our community.
