Final Push to Grad School: Your Support Can Make It Happen!

I am Stephanie, a microbiologist and passionate science communicator from Kenya. I founded Under the Microscope (UTM), a Kenya-based not-for-profit organization that promotes science literacy, STEM education for girls, and public science engagement. Our mission is to nurture science with and for society. I have been accepted into the one-year Master’s programme in Science Communication at Imperial College London in the United Kingdom.

Last year, I set up this fundraiser and am deeply grateful to everyone who supported me. Because of your generosity, I was able to secure admission. Unfortunately, due to a delayed visa, I had to defer my studies and lost a scholarship. However, this year, I’ve secured two scholarships, and my travel documents have been approved!

To make this dream a reality, I humbly ask for your help to cover the final stretch so I can join school on 30 September 2024. I’m seeking €2,600 / $2,882 to cover my flight and initial living costs as I continue to pursue additional scholarships and job opportunities in London.
