THE MINI TRANSAT 2025 WITH ALICIA

I have launched this crowd funding campaign to start a dream project: A TWO-YEAR CAMPAIGN TOWARDS THE MINI TRANSAT 2025.
So far, this has allowed me to kickstart my campaign and begin my qualifying journey towards the Mini Transat 2025. In the space of 3 months, I have already participated in:
- The PLM - double-handed - 3rd place
- The Pornichet Select - singlehanded - 12 th place
- Completed my 1000 nautical mile qualifying passage
- And I am now preparing for the Mini en Mai, a 500 nm singlehanded race.
The funding I have raised has allowed me to cover the following:
- The monthly rent on the boat
- Race inscriptions for both the PLM and Pornichet Select
- Race food
- Repairs and maintenance of my boat
- The costs from my 1000 nm qualifying passage to Irland and back
- Port fees
To continue my journey towards the SAS, I need to reach my total funding goal. This will enable me to keep renting the boat, cover insurance, race fees including food, safety equipment, and medical equipment.
With the support of my team and project manager, I am also receiving the technical support of Gottifredi Maffioli, Harken, Slam, Makita, and Sika, which is allowing me to structure a competitive campaign.
For a very long time, I've had a dream to sail across the Atlantic singlehanded.
When I turned 18, I decided to make sailing my career, and after ten years of sailing over 40,000 miles, I became more and more attached to racing and developing as an offshore sailor. After achieving my Officer of the Watch for 3000 GT, I returned to a job that no longer felt like a challenge and realized it was time to take the big step. I moved north of France (Lorient) and completed an entire double-handed season as co-skipper of a Figaro Beneteau 3 (a ten-meter offshore racing boat). Together, we covered 8000 nautical miles racing across the Atlantic in the Transat Paprec 2023, along the coasts of France in the Tour France à la Voile, and around Italy in the Nastro Rosa Veloce, where we finished in second place.
I now feel ready to set of on my single handed journey, setting myself the goal to take part in the next Mini Transat 2025 . A race ,that spans 4050 miles in two stages: 1350 miles from France to the Canaries, followed by 2700 miles from the Canaries to Guadalupe.
The Mini Transat is more than just a race; it’s a journey, an adventure, and the absolute foundation of offshore solo sailing. To qualify for the Mini Transat, I need to participate in a number of races throughout the seasons of 2024 and 2025, with the first race taking place in April.
My big goal for 2024 is to take part in the SAS, a race from France to the Azores and back. This will help me be in a strong position to qualify for the Mini Transat 2025.
After five months of searching for the funding to achieve this dream, I have hit a brick wall as I find myself less than one month before I need to start preparing for my first race!
This is why I've decided to reach out to all my friends and family and ask for your help to make this amazing adventure happen. Those who follow me already have an understanding of my determination, drive, and I hope will fully understand why this is so important to me!
This will be the boat I will be racing in the next two years, a Mini 6.50m.
After endless discussions with the boat owner, he has trusted that I will find the funding and has allowed me to sign up for the races with his beautiful Maxi 6.50 series boats. The boat is safe, fast, and has won past Mini Transat editions. With your help, I can get training as fast as possible, and preparing my boat so I can make it to that first start line on the 4th of April !
With such a short time left on the calendar, lots of people have suggested I start a crowdfunding campaign, setting my goal at a minimum of 10k euros, which will help me pay for the rent of the boat, insurance, and and get me out on the water. This will also buy me a few months to continue my mad hunt for sponsorships, which I'm doing by delivering conferences on my adventures and experience.
Thanks so much for checking out my adventure, and I hope to have a dedicated spot on my boat with your name on it as a thank you!
