A kid that deserves a good Christmas

My name is Lamont. I am a single father of my amazing 11 y.o. Junior. We lost our home last year two weeks before Christmas and was forced to sleep couch to couch and even in my car at times. I relocated to Reno to work at Panasonic about 8 months ago. The road has been tough but God has had our back nonstop. The move has been hard on my kid having to stay in a weekly for 7 months having to go to sleep hungry many nights because I just didn’t have it. Being teased at school for wearing the same clothes and old shoes or wanting to miss school on dress up days because he couldn’t participate. We were blessed with a place one week before Thanksgiving because a landlord heard my plea and gave us a chance. Thank you Jesus! Even though it is a blessing it has become a little harder now because we have more bills but the same amount of money. He says he understands and doesn’t mind sacrificing which is all the more reason I want to bless his Christmas. I know that it is heartbreaking when all the kids around you are celebrating Christmas and it’s just another day for you and has been this way for him the last couple of years. I just want to bring joy into his life. He has had a lot of ups and downs and been left for dead by people that should have unconditional love for him. I want him to be able to enjoy Christmas and some gifts without me worrying how I am going to pay rent next month. Even if he is just able to open up the essentials he needs for this snow season that’s ahead of us, I know even that will make him happy. Our refrigerator is completely empty so, groceries would be really appreciated. I literally don’t have a dollar to my name until the 29th and even then I make just enough to pay our rent and and maybe a bill. My cell phone is cutoff and our wi-fi and NV energy is next. I am usually the last person to ask for help and if it was just me, I would suck it up. I am swallowing my pride for my kid because I am tired of him getting the short end of the stick when he deserves the world. I hope and pray that someone finds it in their hearts to be a blessing to us. I thank you in advance for helping put us in position for 2024. Anything helps especially prayers.
