A Kidney for Alex

Our dear friend Alex Dungan was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure and needs a kidney transplant. We met Alex and his wife Tamara when we moved to New Orleans 25 years ago. Alex, Tamara, and their three children (Tucker, Hayden & Elliott) have become like family. Anyone who knows Alex knows how much he cares for others. He’s the guy you call when you’re in a bind. He’s the one who shows up for others. He’s the guy who can fix the problem. That’s what makes this situation so tricky…Alex is now the one that needs our help. The transplant process is long, complicated, and costly. Alex and Tamara are learning quickly that there are significant costs not covered by insurance.
