A Kidney for Seamus
Donation protected
Update at of August 23, 2018
Seamus received his new kidney on August 19, 2018 and is doing well. He still has a long recovery ahead of him and every donation will help Seamus and his family focus on healing instead of medical bills. Thank you all for your prayers, good wishes and support throughout this difficult time!

Now that we have received the great news that I beat thyroid cancer, it is time to focus on the next step in my long journey to a healthier life. I struggle asking friends and family to donate money because I am usually the one helping others. It is a humbling experience knowing so many people offered their kind and encouraging words during my cancer treatment and I am humbled to now ask for your compassion and generosity as I raise funds for my kidney transplant.
The transplant process is long, complicated, and costly. I know this will be a hard fight but I am prepared to do whatever I can to live every day to the fullest. Any donation can make a huge difference in diminishing the weight of the financial burden this will put upon my family and help me focus on my recovery. While I do have health insurance, there are numerous expenses that I will incur both before and after the transplant surgery that will not be covered:
Medical Costs
Insurance deductibles
Insurance co-pays
Surgery
Post operative care and rehabilitation
Follow-up care and testing
Additional hospital stays for complications
Anti-rejection and other drugs
Non-Medical Costs
Transportation to and from the hospital for frequent follow up visits
Parking fees at hospital
Lost wages
Child care
If you cannot contribute financially at this time, I invite you to offer up a prayer on my behalf or share this page with your family and friends. My family cannot thank you enough for your love and support!
