A kidney transplant for Christmas

My name is David Sprouse, I'm a 46-year-old broadcaster from Cleveland, Ohio, who is in need of a kidney transplant. I have started this go fund me campaign to help me with expenses for the upcoming procedures and processes that I will have to undertake. I know that if I can get a kidney, either from a living donor or a cadaver, that I have a great chance of success and continuing life as normal. I will be going on dialysis sometime soon and have been blessed with a great nephrologist. He has explained that I will get sick for a little while and that may prevent me from working. In turn, that will mean no earnings coming in.

Currently, I have government insurance and it is taking care of my medications and appointments. I'm going through pre-transplant evaluation and I am taking steps to improve or sustain my current kidney function. I am asking for help collecting funds and assistance of different types as I move forward. I hear that there are programs in place to help people in my situation. There will still be expenses while this process takes place that I will need help with. I'm humbled by the love you have shared, the advice, offers to help and of course, your donations.
