Our hearts are broken. Our brother, Joel Goodwin, 45 years young; a loving husband, brother, father, brand new grandfather, devoted friend and wonderful human being, has passed away after a short, but bravely- fought illness.

Joel has been a gift of joy and positivity to everyone he has ever known. He was one of those burly, seemingly "tough" guys who has a heart of gold, and a smile that melts your heart. Over 15 years ago, he met his match in Jessica, a woman of the same character of kindness, joy and positivity. When they met, Jessica had 2 beautiful, young children, Ramon and Victoria. Joel welcomed these kids into his world, loved them as his own, their whole lives. Joel and Jess then had a daughter together, Grace Dyan (named after Gramma Dyan, who passed from colon cancer at 59 in 2009). Grace, only 12, is the apple of her daddy's eye, and a true angel.

Please consider doing whatever you can to help this beautiful family find a little peace, and less stress, as they navigate the days, months and years ahead without their beloved father and husband.
