A Life-Changing Surgery for Eyesight and Self-Worth

I am asking for your help for a man who has faced serious health struggles since he was just 7 years old. His life has been made very difficult by two major health conditions: alopecia totalis and keratoconus. These conditions have taken away not only his physical appearance but also his ability to see clearly, leaving him struggling with low confidence, lost opportunities, and a sense of darkness in life.

Living with Alopecia Totalis:

As a young child, he was diagnosed with alopecia, a disease where the immune system attacks hair follicles. Over time, it progressed to alopecia totalis, which means he lost all his hair—including eyebrows, eyelashes, and body hair. This has brought a lot of pain to him, as people around him have teased and bullied him for looking different. Because of this, he has felt alone, sad, and has lost confidence.

Struggling with Vision (Eyesight) Loss from Keratoconus:

Years later, he was also diagnosed with keratoconus in both eyes, a disease that affects the cornea and makes it hard to see. His vision is blurry and distorted, and it keeps getting worse. He already tried a treatment called corneal cross-linking to stop the disease from progressing, but sadly, it did not help as much as he hoped.

Now, doctors say that Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) surgery is his best chance to see clearly again. But this surgery is very expensive and is not available in his home country due to limited medical facilities. Without this surgery, his vision will keep getting worse, and his world will grow even darker.

He says he feels trapped in darkness, unable to see or live life fully. The vision problems add to his pain from alopecia, and he feels lost and isolated. This surgery would help him regain his sight and confidence, allowing him to pursue his dreams and feel good about himself again.
