A Lifetime Of Heartbreak That Never Seems To End

Updating story -- My name is Bonnie Murawski, and my sister is Robin Crawley, and I began this fundraiser on her behalf in March 2023 to help with general expenses after her husband Dan was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer late last year. After a very courageous struggle, Dan sadly lost his battle on June 15th. Unfortunately, Robin will face a long road ahead no matter what. She had previously lost 2 sons already (farming accident in 1997, and house fire in 2011) which had already shattered her heart forever, so her life became focused on her marriage to Dan, their remaining son Shaun, and their grandchildren and the mothers of their grandchildren. Now with Dan gone, she is learning for the first time how to create a life for herself without him at her side, and as a grieving widow and mother, she is already facing bureaucratic financial issues complicating her ability to try moving forward. She was unable to work at all during the past several months due to her caregiver responsibilities during Dan's illness, her SS survivor benefits won't start for at least 2 more months, possibly longer, due to application backlogs, the house (our childhood home) remains in foreclosure (long story which is posted somewhere on the fundraiser, but not hers or Dan's fault at all -- briefly, for anyone unfamiliar with this, my father took out a full mortgage to make repairs which he never made, (but he did manage to suddenly purchase golf carts and make repairs to a trailer he had moved to in Florida), Dan and Robin paid rent to my father while he took the money and did God knows what with it but the gist of it is that he defaulted on the mortgage and no one up here knew about it until it was already going into pre-foreclosure and the bank demanded payment in full, which was impossible). Anyway, I am updating the story as she faces one financial hardship after another, including repaying money borrowed for funeral costs, and I am planning to publish/share this again, so if anyone reading this happens to be able to share the fundraiser link anywhere, please do so, because her future remains very uncertain at this time. Also, since tomorrow (June 30) is Robin's birthday and it certainly won't be a happy occasion, I'm sure she would appreciate well-wishes and words of encouragement. Thank you again. -- Bonnie

Previous part of story -- I have changed the fundraising goal to $8000, due to the fact that we reached the original goal of $4200 and our focus is now on raising funds to help with funeral costs. For anyone unfamiliar with previous posts and updates, the first $2400 that was raised was transferred to Robin and Dan in March and April, because it was intended to help them with medical and general living expenses. The donations that have been made since Dan's death (so far around $2000 I believe) will be used for funeral expenses, so even though we reached our original goal today, the amount stated includes the $2400 that had previously been raised and used for medical, dietary, and living expenses. This means that only the most recent amounts raised over the past few days will be available for funeral costs, and that is why I have increased the goal to $8000. Feel free to contact me with any questions -- anyone can write a message that will be sent to my email through GoFundMe and it's not necessary to make a donation in order to send me a message. I am also including my personal email address here to make it easier for anyone to contact me. It is [email redacted] and I don't care if I get spammed; my focus is on trying to help Robin build some kind of life since the life she had before can never be rebuilt. Thank you so much for your help in making this extremely difficult time less stressful, as Robin has already endured way too much tragedy in her life.
