A Living Classroom for all kids

We need your help to keep growing the Living Classroom!
Early in 2018 with the vision of a dedicated principal and the commitment of the Living Classroom Project the Living Classroom at Monkland State School was created.
With a very limited budget and lots of heart the school and the program transformed not only the barren landscape of the school but the hearts and minds of the students.
In November this year we celebrated the transformation of our pavement lot into a living classroom paradise.
Watch our YouTube video to see how we did it!
The students at Monkland know the value of the program at their school and desperately want it to continue into 2019 and beyond, but they need your help!
"Could you please donate to our Living Classroom going into 2019? We would like to buy more tools, vegetable seedlings, new kitchen things and spread the project to other schools too" - Monkland Students
We need to raise much needed funds to secure the Living Classroom Project as a Non-profit organisation, which will enable it to continue growing the hearts and minds of the students at Monkland.
Even better with the support of the community donations it will mean the program can be made available to all schools around Australia.
We are at a critical stage of the project where in order to continue to grow the Living Classroom we need the community support.
We have a big vision to enrich the learning environment of students from preschool through to primary/high school and tertiary education. We want students to have the life skills, knowledge and experience to be self sustainable and value their health and wellbeing and that of the planet as well.
We believe every child should posses the knowledge and confidence to build their own vegetable garden, cook nutritious and delicious vegetable dishes and then compost their waste to put minerals back into the soil to complete the cycle! We have amazing plans for 2019 to plant a food forest, build a kitchen and help other schools create their very own Living Classroom.
We want to be ready in 2019 to continue to bring change to Monkland State School but also to start the transformation of many other schools.
We have Queensland and NSW schools that are ready and waiting to start, but they don't have the budget. You can help to get them started!
All the money raised will go to the Living Classroom Project, it's school based Living Classroom programs and the purchase of equipment such as wheelbarrows, seedlings, and kitchen equipment for the students to continue learning.
It would mean so much to the students at Monkland State School to see the support of the community. It will put a smile on every kids face!
They have worked so hard, and truly love coming to school to be part of the Living Classroom.
Parents tell us "It's definitely making a difference with (our son). He loves it!"
So please if you can spare something to help the students continue to grow in their Living Classroom and enable new students across Australia to experience the wealth of learning and fun that school can be it would mean so much.
And if you can't spare dollars, please share our fundraiser widely with your network.
