A LONG ROAD HOME AND TO RECOVERY FOR BEOAN JONES

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Barry Carey from Maguiresbridge Co. Fermanagh and Myself and Paudi Gavin from Maguiresbridge both residing in Sydney Australia have decided we are going to raise some funds for Beoan Jones another Gaa club man who was involved in a serious accident just of the Sydney Harbour bridge last Saturday the 11th of November 2023. He was struck at high speed by a car out of nowhere. This is very important to us because Beoan is a fellow Maguiresbridge Gaa and fellow county Fermanagh man in critical condition in ICU royal north shore hospital Sydney with a dozen of serious injuries and he comes from a really good and respectful family and as everyone knows it’s hard enough getting by in life but when your in a country a million miles from home it makes the challenge alot more difficult especially when he is getting oxygen fed to him to keep him alive and breathing. When I heard the news about Beoan last week my heart sunk .
To think that a man of 25 years of age who has just been over in Australia a very short 3 months just finding his feet and in his prime in life is faced with one of the most unfortunate circumstances any human being could face. His poor mother Rose and his sister had to fly over and be by his side and I can’t even imagine how difficult it was for the rest of his immediate family and friends. Beoan has sustained a number of injuries, he has spinal injuries broken ribs vertebrae fractures pelvis fractures multiple neck fractures and has had a number of major surgeries. I’ve spoken to his mother rose and she is just distraught but just so greatful he is alive and the support from doctors nurses and loving family and friends has been nothing short of amazing. To think that her amazing son was embarking on a beautiful journey in life and for that to get cut short is heartbreaking for everyone that knows and loves him. Anyways In regards of what the funds will be used for it will be to fund the months and months of extensive rehab this poor young man will have to go through in a country so far away from home and for some of you that are locals in Sydney and Australia when you are unfit to work or make an income Sydney will not be long eating you up fianancially and it causes a knock on effect to family and everyone who loves him..
So to anyone who sees this I hope you can find it in your heart to donate and give beoan and the family more strength to recover in this incredibly difficult time in life. I understand Christmas is around the corner for a lot of us but if you could please give a small contribution to help support beoans recovery that would be much appreciated. Thankyou
So far rose and beoan have had incredible support from Katerina gillen from the Irish support agency Sydney but the more help they can get the better. STAY STRONG BEOAN Your a warrior and you will come out the otherside with the love of god. Keep fighting the good fight.
